I was wondering what the best puppy food is for an 8 week old corgi puppy.

Any input would be appreciated. For corgi s best health and development the owner must avoid giving any food to corgi which includes any of the following. Bringing my boy home in about 2 5 weeks i have been doing research on which brand of food to transition him to when he s home. As of now i m leaning toward blue buffalo puppy but i d love to hear any tips or better options from professional corgi parents please any info you have to offer even beyond what food to choose any puppy related advice welcome.

Also what age do you guys recommend. Typo s breeder fed purina pro plan focus puppy chow and sent us home with some in case we wanted to transition him to something different. Have been looking at fromm gold and curious about the rumor of corgi pups needing to be on large breed puppy food. My only concern is that puppy food is not always the best choice for corgi puppies.

An ideal diet for corgi contains animal based protein vegetables and even fruits. We did try a couple different foods but in the end we just went back to pro plan because it s a very good quality food recommended by the breeder and all my vets and typo actually ended up getting bored of any other food we gave him lol. My corgi will be 11 weeks old tomorrow and is on purina pro plan puppy right now but really wanting something different. I m getting a corgi puppy soon.

His coat became very very soft and his digestion was award winning. He really enjoyed eating more so than the blue buffalo but the pieces were almost too big for him at this point about 3 4 months.
